Redeemed & Restored

"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." (Psalm 147:3)

Today I started out on the Western side of Mebane, walked over to Haw River, and then headed Northwest mostly along the Haw River, completing another 20 miles and stopping North of Burlington, and about 19 miles from Greensboro. Today I was able to see alot of the history of textiles in this area of North Carolina. I walked by several mills that have long since closed their doors. It was both interesting and sad to see. So much industry, seemingly lost forever. However, as I saw many mills abandoned, and left to decay, I saw one of Cone Mills old facilities that had been transformed into lofts for homes. Someone had seen the potential of it, and had taken the time to recondition and repurpose it, and now it has new life. It made me think of how the Lord takes broken, sinful humans, redeems, restores, and repurposes them for a new life, and to have a relationship with Himself To live the life we were truly created for. It also made me thankful for the Lord blessing CAS with the Emmanuel Home, and everyone's gracious generosity and help to make this dream a reality. Many of the women who will be served by this ministry are broken and simply need someone to show them the love of Christ, and point them to true Hope and Restoration. They have been created for a purpose, and through this ministry, by God's grace, we pray that they will come to know Him as Lord and Savior and truly be restored to the life that they were created for. Thank you all for your continued prayers.
