We Made It!

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." (2 Corinthians 5:17)

After 32 days and 600 miles, we have made it to the Emmanuel Home in Thomasville, NC. It was a joy to walk the last 5 miles with my family. This adventure has been a tremendous challenge and joy. We are thankful to have been able to serve along side the men and women of Christian Adoption Services and Baptist Children's Home of NC, to bring awareness to the many ministries they have, and to help see a home for birthmothers in need, begin to become a reality. The Lord has truly had His hand upon this walk, from start to finish. From health, safety, and great weather, He has truly blesses us. We are also so thankful for everyone's prayers and support for the Emmanuel Home ministry, and for our family during this trek. We are so close to reaching the fundraising goal, and we thank the Lord for His provision. As I walked by the Emmanuel Home today, my son pointing out a caterpillar crawling near the house. My wife pointed out how that is the perfect metaphor for this project and for the women that will be ministered to. This house, though rough around the edges now, will be restored to a true home for women in need. Likewise, we pray that the Lord will use this home and those who will serve in it, to proclaim the Gospel, and that by God's grace, we will see many lives changed. That they will come to trust in the one True God, who can transform their lives, and lead them to a new life in Christ. Once we are in Christ, we are no longer defined by who we once were, for we become, "...a new creation" Praise the Lord for His grace and mercy, and for Christ who came to earth to redeem a lost and rebellious people. Praise the Lord that by faith in Christ, "The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." May we never stop praising the Lord for what He has done, and may our lives be one of obedience and service in His name, for His glory, and His Kingdom.

Thank you again for your prayers and support. Please join us this Saturday, November 6th, at the Emmanuel Home in Thomasville, as we dedicate this house and those it will serve to the Lord.
