William & Shanna

Hello from William, Shanna, and ZZ!  Our hearts are already overwhelmed with love for the little one(s) we are patiently waiting for. And ZZ takes her "Big Sister in Training" duties very seriously!

William and I (Shanna) met on an online dating website and dated for 4 months before Will popped the question. I said yes and 3 months later we eloped in Charleston, SC, which was followed by a wedding with family and friends. We have been married since March 2012 and are enjoying every minute of the "Married Life". Our love story may have been short, but our marriage is for a lifetime and it is truly an honor and blessing to bear witness to one another's life. After 6 years of marriage, our daughter ZZ entered our lives and made us a Troublesome Trio.

About Will per Shanna:
Will is easygoing and laid back. He enjoys the simple pleasures in life (like feeding birds in front of St. Mark's Basilica in Venice, Italy). He loves doing anything remotely related to a motor vehicle and serving others (which includes the little rascals in our children's ministry at church).

About Shanna per Will:
Shanna is a social butterfly with a generous heart. She loves girls night outs (GNOs) every now and then, traveling (she has been to almost all 50 states), and teaching children about God (she left me the day after we were married for a Mission Trip to Costa Rica to serve children in orphanages).

ZZ's World:
ZZ is mischievous, fearless, loving, and very inquisitive. She loves being read to or chased, choo choo soul, and a good dose of people watching.

We welcome a girl, or twins (if one is a girl), birth to three months old, through open, semi-open, or closed adoption.

DEAR EXPECTANT MOTHER

Truth, we are overwhelmed with a sense of inadequacy and insecurity as we begin this life long journey of adoption that even figuring out how to just say "Hi" to you seems insurmountable. How do we even begin to tell you how grateful and thankful we are for even this moment you are taking to read this letter? We will never be able to fully understand the emotions you are feeling and that is something we will always recognize and respect. The choice of adoption is one of the most selfless acts one can do. You are choosing to put your child's needs over your own, and there is no greater display of parental love than that. As parents we plan to always honor and respect your relationship to your child. We are happy in the life we share together and excited to grow our family. We are an animated, fun-loving, easy-going family with just the right touch of pizzazz.
