Nate & Kyle

Hi there! We’re thankful to get to share a bit about our family. We met in 2012 and started dating within a few months. It became clear to both of us early on that we wanted to get married, so after 9 months of dating we got engaged and ultimately married in fall of 2013. While engaged we talked a lot about kids and knew we didn’t want to wait long to start growing our family.

We have two biological boys, Shearer (3.5) and Asher (2). Both are a blessing to us for completely different reasons. Shearer is kind and thoughtful, always asking a question or wanting to read a book. Asher is rowdy and funny, always wanting to find the next animal to pet or truck to push around. They keep us on our toes and are usually making one or both of us laugh. On our honeymoon we began praying about adoption, that the Lord would guide us down this road one day. We believe it so beautifully reflects God’s plan of redemption in adopting us as sons and daughters in his family. We hope to participate in God’s redemption plan by adopting a daughter and bringing her into our family.

We love being with friends and family, going to the beach, the local farmers market and walks in our neighborhood. We have three sets of grandparents, 9 aunts and uncles, and 6 cousins who are overjoyed (to say the least) to bring a new baby into our family.

We welcome a girl newborn to 3 months through open, semi-open or closed adoption.

DEAR EXPECTANT MOTHER

Dear Friend,

One thing I (Kyle) have learned from being a mother is that it is a constant sacrifice. I must serve my children on a daily basis, putting their needs and wants above my own. Some days I succeed and some days I fail. It is a hard but beautifully rewarding job. And you, dear mother, are an example for me. You are more selfless than I could ever imagine as you seek out the very best for your daughter beyond your wants or needs in making this adoption plan. The tremendous sacrifice you're making is not lost on us.

With my second pregnancy there was some concerns about Asher's vitality in the womb. During the last few weeks of pregnancy and through labor, I clung to 1 John 4:18. "There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made in perfect love." We are praying this passage over you - that you would rest in the perfect, fearless love of Christ in this season.

We respect you and want to honor you. We promise to always uphold you with dignity in our words, be grateful for the gift you have given us in her, and strive to love your daughter as selflessly as you are now.

With Love,
Nate & Kyle
