Joey & Cynthia

Hello, and thank you so much for looking here to learn more about us. We are Joey, Cynthia, Abigail, and Benjamin, and we hope this gives you a glimpse into our family.

Joey and Cynthia grew up in the same town and met in high school. We became very best friends, started dating, and that was all it took! We fell madly in love as high school sweethearts, and after being married for more than 16 years we are still the very best of friends.

Joey has a genuine love for people, and he has a fun and gentle spirit. He has a steady calm that comforts those around him and helps him be a great problem solver. Joey enjoys football - Go Panthers!, singing, Marvel movies, reading, kayaking, and coaching our kids’ soccer and football teams.

Cynthia has a laugh that is contagious, and she enjoys working with teens and children. She is observant of others and has a soft spot for young people who are struggling. Cynthia enjoys reading, watching movies, football, singing, cheering on our kids, and all things Disney!

We have been blessed with two children, Abigail (10) and Benjamin (8). Abigail loves to dance, read, bake, and play the piano. Benjamin is a fierce competitor and loves all sports, and he also plays the piano. Both kids enjoy school, both like going on trips, and they both keep us laughing! Both kiddos also love helping with the babies or little ones at school, church, or community events, and they can often be found holding a baby or the hand of a young child.
Abigail and Benjamin pray often for any children that might be part of our family through adoption, and we know without any doubt that they will be loving, caring, and protective big brother and sister.

As a family, we are very intentional about spending time together and making memories together. Whether it’s days at the beach, sporting events, dance recitals, church, trips to Disney, or just quiet nights at home on the couch, we enjoy being together. Our faith and our family are the most important aspects of our lives.

We live in a cute, quaint town which is a great place to raise a family. Our kids are able to attend a fantastic school, and we attend a loving church. We are thankful for our community and our “village,” and they have been completely supportive of our plans to adopt.

Our adoption journey started many years ago, 17 to be exact! Since we were engaged, we have talked about adoption. We always knew deep down that adoption would be part of our journey together and would be a path for us to grow our family. We know we are called to adopt and that this is what is right for our family. Our hearts, our home, and all four of us are open and ready for a little one (or two!) to join us, and we pray for them and love them already.

Thank you for looking here, and we pray you, too, feel loved!

We are excited to welcome into our home, a boy, girl, or twins (of any gender combination), newborn and sibling up to three years old, through open, semi-open or closed adoption.

DEAR EXPECTANT MOTHER

Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. We recognize the loving choice you are making for an adoption plan, and we hope you know and feel just how brave and loved you are. Our prayer is that God will guide you and lead you throughout your pregnancy and throughout this whole journey.

Our family of four has so much love to give, and we can assure you that we are absolutely ready to adopt. We know without any doubt that this is what God has called us to, and is how we are to grow our family.

We have always dreamed of a house full of kids and the joy and craziness that comes along with that. We know adoption is part of that dream. We are already praying for the child, or children, that will join our family through adoption, and we love them already. And, there are grandparents, uncles, aunts, and lots of cousins who are also ready to love on any child or children who join our family through the gift of adoption.

As a family, we have been praying each night that God would protect and guide you and let you feel safe and loved.

We honor your choice and pray you will feel peace in whatever loving decision you make for your child.

With Love,
Joey, Cynthia, Abigail, and Benjamin
