Woodward Scholarship Fund
CAS is excited to announce the formation of a brand new scholarship fund to help families in the process of adoption. On March 17th, at the Benefit Banquet, CAS President Kevin Qualls, presented a check in the amount of $30,000.00 to CAS in honor of Jim and Doris Woodward. Jim and Doris founded the ministry in the state of Maine in 1979. At that time, adoptions were focused on Doris’ home country of El Salvador. The agency moved to Matthews, NC in 1989 and has placed over 2,000 children with Christian families through the domestic and international programs.
“Doris and Jim have been such a huge blessing to this ministry over the years, and we felt like this scholarship fund would be a way to honor them and carry on their legacy for years to come,” said Qualls.
The Woodward Scholarship Fund is now accepting applications from Christian Adoption Services families who are seeking assistance with the cost of adopting through our domestic or international programs. Applications will be accepted quarterly and families must have a completed home study by CAS to apply. To be considered for the Woodward Scholarship Fund this quarter, a complete application should be submitted by December 29, 2017.
