Sara & David

We are excited to welcome to our family, a girl, newborn up to 2-1/2 years of age (or twins if one is a girl), through open, semi-open or closed adoption.

DEAR EXPECTANT MOTHER

Hi! We wish we could just sit and chat with you, but we hope these photos will help give you a little look at what our family is like and what we love. We want you to know that we are grateful for you and truly pray for you during the tough decisions you are making. First of all, we want to thank you for choosing adoption. We pray that you will feel God’s strength, peace, and wisdom as you choose what is best for you and your child. God laid it on our hearts to grow our family through adoption and we are so excited. We can’t fully understand the depth of what you are going through right now, but we are inspired by your courage and selflessness. It is hard to sum up our life in just a few words and photos, but we hope that you can see the love that fills up our hearts and how much love we have to give another child.

Our names are David and Sara and have been together 8 years, married for 6 years. We have two sons, Blake (4) and Owen (3), and our dog, Romeo. David works as an attorney and owns his business. Sara had careers as a Forensic DNA Analyst and a Crimes Against Children Detective with a police department before becoming a stay-at-home mom.

We are blessed that David’s business allows Sara to stay home and have daily adventures with our boys! David also has the freedom of a flexible schedule and is home every evening to spend time playing with Blake and Owen, reading them stories, going to the park and getting ice cream!

We are a pretty active family and take any chance we can to explore and experience new adventures. We love playing at a park with friends, swimming at our neighborhood pool, riding bikes, visiting zoos, camping, or taking a vacation to the mountains or beaches. We love to spend time together and with our friends and family. We are very fortunate to have much of our extended family living within 15 minutes of us. It’s especially great to have both sets of grandparents only 10 minutes away for those important sleepovers.

Our church community is a huge part of our lives. It is a diverse community that greatly supports adoption and there are many families that have adopted and created a wonderful support system. Sara volunteers in the nursery and David volunteers with the parking crew with the goal of making everyone feel welcomed and glad to be there. Our small group is an amazing group of friends! Together we’ve experienced many different ups and downs and are so grateful for the meaningful friendships.

Thank you so much for taking the time to consider our family. Please know that we are praying for you daily and will always keep you in our prayers as your life becomes intertwined with ours through this process. Should you choose us, we want you to know that we will devote our lives to providing your child with all the love and security we have to offer. We also want you to know that we will always make sure your child knows where she came from and will grow up with the understanding that you love her more than anything else in the world. We hope you can see how much love we have for each other, our family and our friends. Again, thank you for considering us.

We are praying for you!
David & Sara

What David says about Sara
Sara is the glue that holds our family together. Sara grew up in Utah and we met shortly after she moved to North Carolina. She always makes sure that the boys have what they need and have fun things to do. Sara always puts the boys first in her plans whether it be the food that they eat, the activities that they do on the weekend, or the extracurriculars during the middle of the week. Sara loves going on play dates with the boys, taking them to the zoo, pool, movies, and spending time with grandparents. She is a wonderful mother who loves being around her kids and takes time to enjoy the simple things in life whether it be snuggling on the couch, going for a walk, or hanging out at the pool.

Sara brings a lot to the table as a mother. She has two bachelor degrees, a masters degree, 7 years of experience working at a hospital, 5 years of experience as a forensic DNA analyst, and 7 years of experience as a police officer in which she worked her way up to be a detective in crimes against children. Sara decided to leave her career so that she could focus on raising our two kids. You couldn’t ask for a better mother. When the boys are in preschool 2-3 days per week, Sara likes spending time with her mom group and other women from church. Sara loves reality television shows, reading books and working out.

What Sara says about David

David is a native North Carolinian and has such a strong sense of pride in where he’s from. I met David while he was in Law School. I knew he was a gentleman and had a strong character when he shook my hand at the end of our first date. Our relationship grew and we were engaged a year later and married the year after that. We’ve been married six years and have grown our family with two sons (Blake & Owen) and our dog, Romeo.

David is the best Daddy to our little boys and a wonderful husband and provider! He works as an Attorney and owns his own business which allows for great flexibility with his schedule. He is the kind of dad that comes home from work and plays with our boys and reads them stories every night. We are all so grateful for him and love him so much! David is a hands on parent and is always teaching our boys. He leads by example and shows them what a real man should be like. Honest and sincere. It is very clear that his family is his number one priority!

David loves to watch sports (especially the Carolina Panthers). He played baseball throughout college and has a real competitive spirit which shines through in his love of Crossfit. While

David loves to eat very healthy most of the time, he is a wonderful baker and specializes in homemade pies and ice cream (which are always requested at our family get-togethers and parties)!
