Kristen & Ross
Ross had just moved into an apartment in town and Kristen’s parents invited him over to watch the 2010 winter Olympics with their family. Little did they know, two winters later Ross and Kristen would be married. They have now been married for four years and continue to grow in love – learning about each other and trusting God in His faithfulness.
We are excited to welcome into our family a boy, girl, or twins (of any gender combination), 3 months of age and under, through open, semi-open or closed adoption.
DEAR EXPECTANT MOTHER
My name is Ross and my wife’s name is Kristen. We are glad that we can share a little about ourselves with you through this profile.
Kristen and I know that we are weak and broken people. Any good in us is only by God’s grace, so we seek to live day by day dependent on Him. It is our desire to guide any child that God entrusts us with to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Hopefully the pictures and information about us here will help you get a better idea of who we are. We pray that God will bless you and your child. His love and power have no limit!

What Ross says about Kristen
Kristen is sweet, sensitive, and compassionate. She is gifted at working with children and treasures those opportunities. She has been babysitting, volunteering in the church nursery, or teaching preschool Sunday School classes for many years. Kristen truly enjoys scrapbooking, cleaning, keeping a house in order, and spending quality time with close friends. She currently works at a local greenhouse and flower shop that is owned by her parents. Although she enjoys and is very qualified in her work at the greenhouse, she wants to devote most of her time to raising children when that time comes.
MORE ABOUT US
Life on the farm is peaceful. It is therapeutic to look out the window and see the dog roaming around while cows walk across the field to get a drink by the barn. You can hear the chirping of three dozen sparrows in the bush just outside the kitchen window while a cat looks longingly up at them. Ross and Kristen are the third generation to live and work on this farm. Many relatives, including their parents and sisters live within 20 minutes.

What Kristen says about Ross
Ross tends to have a quiet personality, but can fully devote himself to goofiness. This shows through when he is in character for skits and Vacation Bible School. Making music by singing and playing instruments such as the trumpet and guitar is another way that Ross expresses himself. During college, he had many opportunities learning to lead in a college ministry and traveling to Austria, Costa Rica, and Turkey. He then lived in China for two years teaching English and studying Chinese. Since his return, he and his father work together on the family farm. They raise corn and soybeans and help 100 cows raise newborn calves each year. Ross also volunteers on the local fire department and serves as their treasurer.
