Nick & Helen
Hello, we are Nick and Helen. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us! Our family story began in childhood as school friends. After years of schooling and travel, our paths crossed again, and we fell in love. We got married on Nick’s family estate in a lovely country wedding, and soon after, we tried to grow our family. After years of fertility treatments, we discovered God had another plan for us. In 2012, Ryan joined our family through adoption, and he forever changed our hearts and lives. Family is central to our lives. We live 10 minutes away from most family members, and we visit those who live out-of-state regularly. We enjoy regular dinners, play dates, community events, weekend getaways, and holiday celebrations with grandparents, great-aunts, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Some of our favorite traditions are the annual trip to Maine for lobster dinners and walks on the beach, apple picking and baking in the fall, and Aunt Karen's Christmas Eve party! We cannot wait to welcome a new little one to our big, loving family. Nick is already such a wonderful father. He has started a successful business, which allows him a flexible schedule to visit Ryan's karate class and take family vacations. Nick and his dad, Pop-pop, work together on home projects, and they have begun to include Ryan as their little helper. At playtime, Nick is the first to get down on the floor and play with Ryan and his cousins. He has a fun, playful spirit that the kids just love. Helen is also so excited to love another baby; being a mom is a dream come true for her. Helen loves to organize family events, host family from Arizona, and plan day trips for the kids in the family. She is happiest when all her loved ones are in her house. And Ryan cannot wait to be a big brother and show the little one the ropes. He is an energetic, funny, sweet little boy, who looks forward to reading books to his new sibling and giving him/her a ride in his truck. Our family is ready and so very excited to love and care for another child. We wish you luck and peace as you make a plan for your and your baby’s future.
We welcome a boy, girl, or twins (of any gender combination), newborn up to six months, through open, semi-open or closed adoption.
DEAR EXPECTANT MOTHER
We cannot imagine the difficulty that you may be going through and the challenges you are facing. We admire your courage and strength, and we hope to partner with you to provide a beautiful, happy, and stable life for your child. As you read through our profile, we hope you get a sense of who we are and our home life. You will see we live in a rural town in Vermont, with a small city, parks, playgrounds, lakes, and mountain trails nearby. You will also see we travel several times a year to get extra sun and fun, frequently traveling with extended family. Most of all, we hope you will see that family is our top priority in life. We had hoped to have a large family, but after 10 years of failed fertility treatments, we realized God had a different plan for us. We were blessed with Ryan in 2012 through adoption, and he has changed our hearts and lives forever. Our family is ready and so very excited to love and care for another child. Our promise to you is to raise your child to become a unique, joyful, and successful person. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us.
