Amanda & Jason

I met Jason at his church, and was immediately attracted to his good looks. It’s true that when you meet the one, you just know, and this was the case for us for sure! In the springtime of 2005, our wedding was at my home church.  That was the second best day of our lives with the first day being when we got saved! I planned a dream wedding in just 5 months and we were ready to vacation after! Charleston was the setting for our honeymoon vacation. We love Charleston and enjoy traveling. We just celebrated 9 blissful years of marriage last April! We are excited about the “BIG 10” this year, and eagerly await to celebrate with the addition of a precious child to our family! When we think about our future family of three, we picture summer vacations spent jumping waves and building cool sand castles on the beach.

We welcome an infant child of either gender up to two years of age, twins of either gender or a sibling group (with the oldest child three years of age or under), through open, semi-open or closed adoption.

DEAR EXPECTANT MOTHER

We pray that our profile gives you a glimpse of who we are. Naturally, we’re eagerly awaiting to become adoptive parents to the child God has chosen for us. God encourages and guides us daily!  “ADOPTION WORKS”! We have personally seen and heard firsthand of many successful adoption journeys from our friends. We plan to connect with them through church adoptive family outings and activities.

He’s from up north, but she’s so southern you can’t help but hear it! We truly have a genuine love for children.

Jason says, “I have always treated all children as if they were my own.”  He has been around children his whole life, with kids his mom cared for and in church children’s ministries

Amanda says, “I have always had the desire to have children, but haven’t been able to conceive”.  She babysat many of her cousins, nieces and nephews growing up and helped serve in church children’s ministries along with Jason.

God led us to adoption in January 2014 and confirmed His call to us in May 2014!  As you continue on this adoption journey we pray, “I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being”.  Eph. 3:16

Life is a precious gift from God! Thank you for giving life to your precious, beautiful child.

Love & Prayers,
Jason & Amanda

What Jason says about Amanda
When I first met my Amanda, I was initially attracted to her outer beauty and her southern charm. As I got to know her and she opened up to me, the more I was drawn to her inner beauty. We were friends for a while, and I always enjoyed being around her. Amanda has a beautiful smile and a wonderful laugh. Her hugs relax me and dissolve the stress of the day away. She is the only girl I ever kissed and is the second greatest gift God gave me!  First is my relationship with Him! We used to go on dates and sit in the truck, reading and talking about the Bible.  She is very thoughtful and sensitive to the needs of others. She is very determined and motivated, but soft spoken. She has God first in her life, and is God’s perfect help-mate for me. Amanda makes me a better man, and will make a great mom! She loves children and will be a great teacher for our child, not just with words, but followed up with her actions. She seeks to honor God with everything she says and does.

FYI

Our beautiful dog is 2 years old and a Lab / Golden Retriever. She is playful and great with children. She enjoys playing fetch so much that she steals the neighbors’ things and brings them home! Our house is nestled in the country and family surrounds us on both sides. We have a lot of fun getting together on birthdays, holidays and special occasions. Just a typical Southern family with lots of fun and food! Both sides of the family are super excited about our adoption! Jason’s parents / step-parents plan to move to North Carolina in the near future. That will bring more time together with his family on holidays and special occasions. He can’t wait for more of his mom’s homemade apple pies! Our future child will have a BIG family to LOVE on him/her! Our parents are super excited to add another precious child to their family!  We can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for us!

With God as #1 priority in our lives, we promise to teach your child about Him, His Word and how to pray. Most of all, we will pray for their salvation and direct them to know how to ask Jesus into their hearts when they are ready. We look forward to sharing these milestones with you through pictures, occasional calls or visits.

Life is full of unknowns and decisions, some being very difficult. Just know:
1. We respect you, the birth mother, for your most important decision of giving life to your child.
2. If chosen, we pledge to love and care for your precious child as our very own throughout our entire lives.
3. We pray you feel at peace in your heart with your decision and have God’s blessings on your life for the future.

What Amanda says about Jason

When I first met Jason, I knew he was a Godly man. His personality was very outgoing; definitely a true gentleman. We formed a friendship within days that will last a lifetime. Jason would open doors for me even when we were just friends. We definitely had a courtship as he would always ask me out and paid for my meals.  Applebee’s and Wendy’s were our hangout places after church, though secretly and sometimes openly he desired IHOP!  We would watch movies or go to my house and spend time with family. My family loved him from the beginning!

I couldn’t wait for Jason to call me on the phone and to go out on dates! He asked me to start dating after a year ofbeing close friends. After dating a year we both were so ready to get married……… and he popped the question.  I love being Jason’s wife! He is so loving, a true best friend, hard-working, honest and respectful. He is the kind of friend that would drop everything to help and encourage you when needed, whether it be moving, repairs, prayers or sharing scripture. Jason is the kind of husband who runs errands and leaves sweet notes every day to show his love. He has a true love for all children, and they love his playful nature. I have always known deep within my heart that he would make a great father!
